The Japanese word Reiki means 'Universal Energy'. The practice of Reiki is an original method of healing, developed by Mikao Usui in Japan early in the 20th century, which is activated by intention.Reiki is a non-invasive therapy used to holistically restore homeostasis and promote the body's ability of regenerative self healing.
Reiki is a powerful, yet simple natural healing system involving the laying on of hands on or above the body in order to allow the flow of universal energy.
In the session I will place my hands gently in a series of positions on or above the body. There is no need to remove any clothing. Your system will automatically draw in only as much Reiki as is needed; using it in whatever way is most appropriate at the time. Reiki may be felt as a mild tingling, warmth, coolness, flow of energy,other sensations or nothing at all.
Reiki is deeply relaxing, eases stress, and has a calming effect. It compliments modern medicine and other natural therapies. It works well with Reflexology to revitalise the mind, body and spirit.
